LGBT+ students: What teachers think and do concerning to them

The bachelor thesis focuses on exploring teachers' attitudes towards LGBT+ students and LGBT+ issues within schools. The theoretical section of the thesis establishes fundamental concepts and phenomena related to LGBT+ adolescents, as well as attitudes and prejudices towards LGBT+ students. The primary emphasis is on LGBT+ students and issues in the school environment. The objective of this study is to investigate the attitudes of secondary school teachers towards their LGBT+ students. For the research, a qualitative approach was employed, and data collection was carried out through individual semi-structured interviews, using pre- prepared question set. The interviews involved 5 female and 3 male respondents. The data gathered was then analyzed using thematic analysis, leading to the identification of 13 themes and 20 sub-themes. These findings are visually represented to enhance clarity and to demonstrate potential interrelationships among them. The results of this study eveal the complexity of teachers' attitudes, highlighting the diverse components that contribute to their perception of a singular subject. Transition as a way to self-acceptance

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of transition, in the social, medical, and legal spheres. It explores the lives of trans people from their first awareness of their gender identity, through coming out, hormone therapy and gender-affirming surgery. It traces the critical moments of transition and complications that arise during it. It also explores socially conditioned attitudes and negative social reception. The empirical part is developed using a qualitative strategy, in-depth interviews with people who have gone through the process of transition. It explores how trans people experience their transition, how the decision to transition is made, their satisfaction with their transition, and more. It also focuses on the reaction of the close people and surroundings and the subsequent impact on the trans person.

Cyberviolence towards LGBTQ+ people in Czech Republic

This piece of work focuses on cyberviolence against LGBTQ+ adults in the Czech online space. Cyberviolence is overall a new phenomenon, at present mostly examined in relation to children and adolescents. In this work, the author offers insight into the ways queer people use the Internet, the negative events they encounter and the manner in which they manage these experiences. The work builds on the ideas of heteronormative social hegemony and looks for links between this social order and cyberviolence. Using the qualitative method of semi- structured interviews, research was conducted with eight LGBTQ+ participants. The results showed queer people faced grave acts such as threats or extortion as well as homophobic and transphobic microagression. The fact that cyberviolence against adults is often downplayed by the society, but also victims themselves, makes its management all the more complicated. Nevertheless, it is essential to dedicate more attention to this topic in the effort to eliminate heterosexism in society.

Trans* Identity and Parenting in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with experiences and ideas of parenting trans*'s persons in the context of their identity. I primarily follow feminist theories and constructivist paradigm, where the research being realized through semi-structured interviews. In the theoretical part I define the basic terms and concepts on which my work is based. I focus on the conceptualization of trans* identities, on the concept of transsexuality in the Czech medical and socio-legal discourse, as well as on their limits in terms of gender perspective. Furthermore, I present the partnership and sexual relations of trans* persons, which then lead me to parenthood itself in the context of trans * identities. Finally, I deal with the coming-out process, especially with a focus on offspring. Within the analytical part I am interested in the attitude of trans* people to prevent reproductive function as the legal condition of gender transition, what reproductive ways and ways of parenting they choose, what obstacles they encounter in the context of parenthood and how they perform their parental role.
